I decided to become a writer when I was in first grade and realized my parents kept both computer paper and a stapler in their office. I (surprisingly) didn't have a lot of coherent wisdom to add to the world at six, but I did have a lot of questions to ask, and that is largely why I wrote. Twenty-ish years later the same is still true. For me, writing--even writing fiction--has always been about the discovery of truth. Vice versa, uncovering truth has always meant dusting off the stories woven into the world around me.

My blog is dedicated to this strange synergy between truth and fiction. I plan to continue asking questions via creative non-fiction, poetry, and short stories, and I hope you'll join me.
